The transition of fast food from home cooked meals and cheaper foods being less nutritious has led to a great deal of our health and obesity problems in America. The 2012 Farm Bill shows that due to government policies the wrong or less healthy sugary food are more easily accessible and cheaper. The recognition of this bill is important because it could help change the prices and availability of fruits and vegetables and help those in poverty to make better decisions regarding their checkbook and diet. Through my lunch program, I think that our resources' communities give to those in poverty do well in regarding hunger especially to children.
Children are blessings but I think one thing that leads to a lot of poverty is adults having children at a young age before the are financially stable and fully educated. A child can lead to stress and puts pressure on money for the parent. This can result in buying the cheaper unhealthy food which could lead to obesity and an never ending cycle of poverty in a family.
